My day today started with wake up late for work. Astaga. So I rushing siap and walk faster to the shop. My mother have prepare everything (sure coz I still angry with her). I came and start my routine as usual, serve customers.
This morning is better than yesterday; in terms of customers.

Customer table 11, the one who’s sitting at the most left table outside ordered N08 (Wok Fried Kway Teow with Beef Slices) and D20 (Teh Tarik). I served all the food to him. He was busy with his tablet. He looks like an office guy. Guy? I would address him as ‘abang’ la kot?

Customer table 4 is a Chinese lady. She’s seems quite elegant lady, around late 30 or maybe early 40, just flipping the menu probably dunno what to order. She asked me if the Light & Easy set is available and I said it’s only available after 3pm. She ordered B01C (Thick Roti Stim with Butter + Kaya) and D12 (Coffee Iced). Then her friend came and sat beside her, straight away ordered hot Coffee O. Now here comes the funny part. She ordered hot Coffee O and I key in it right which is D01.

Coffee O means Coffee with NO SUGAR. O means zero; yakni no sugar nor milk.

Yet I served her with not only one, but 2 packs of white sugar beside the cup !! OMG Hahahaha ! Genius me...

Okay, then a customer corrected me about the Coffee O thingy. O means with sugar but NO MILK. Okay settle for now.

So customer 11 went to the washroom, leaving his tablet on the table. I was cleaning table 7 and saw his tablet. He didn’t asked me to look out his table. Hmm weird as he packed everything except his tablet. Could it be he forgot about it ? I mean.. you dun simply left your tablet and packed everything then went to washroom right ?

He came to the cashier, pays everything he ate and I even offer him to pay with QR pay but he dun have maybank2u apps so he paid with cash and left.

YES. HE LEFT JUST LIKE THAT. WITHOUT HIS TABLET.

With a deep breathe, I took his tablet and run faster toward him, who’s has no idea what’s he left behind. Dia dah kat hujung kedai ! “Encik !!!!”

He didn’t hear me shouting. People at CIMB looking at me weirdly. Whatever. I got this ‘amanah’ with me.

“CIK !!!” He finally look at me, weird.
I passed his tablet and he was like blur and 10 sec after that he realise it was his tablet. Yes sir, yours.

He didn’t get to thank me as I just walk away because I’m still working and so many table to clean. Yeaaa you’re welcome. Please dun simple leave your things behind. It’s expensive.

Why I didn’t kept it and wait till he come back and retrieve it later?
Because I know the feelings when you lost things that important and expensive. I dunno how much the tablet would cost him if he misplace or lost it but it probably contain important works and contacts number inside it. And I dun want to trouble him with anxiety feelings and had to come back later and take it back.

What if the tablet lost in this shop while we were keeping it ? Nah, couldn’t afford the risk. I would keep it safe if I lost him that time. Gotta take the risk la what to do no choice. But just now I had the choices and I choose to return it to him eventho I had to run across the main road if I had to.

1.20pm and it’s lunch hour. Table 4 was occupied. 2 Chinese guy. From their attire: Office guy. So they ordered their meals and successfully served. Smoking after meal is normal, here in Malaysia. Dah macam dessert for them. Tak dessert, boleh jadi appetiser. My worker already gave them ash tray. No rules in our shop states that smoking is prohibited unless aircon-area. But beragak la brother. 2 ash trays and you refuse to use it ! Instead you buang all puntung rokok 2-3 and all the ashes. Come on man. Semoga dapat lung cancer cepat cepat !

That’s all. The rest of my day is boring and lunch hour is not pack like usual. Maybe it takes time to pick up pace like usual after long holiday.
