Decisions Making

Routes of Drug Administration (RDA). Pharmacology.
3.21 pm, and hujan agak lebat kat luar diselangi guruh
dan kilat sambar-menyambar. Bored strike and all the
thick books and lecture notes appeared blank on the desk.
Pharmacology really a tough subject, having its own nickname
of ‘silent killer’,
do explain everything about how sexy the drugs had been.
Drugs – It is a single active chemical entity present in a
medicine used for
Diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of a disease.
The first crucial part is how the drugs will be given to the
patient.
We do not simply give patient either injections or orally.
It’s all depend on situation of the patients and which
effect of drugs the most
favorable at that time. That’s why diagnostic is important
and require skills to
be accurate.
Two types of Drug Administration are Local and Systemic. On
hearing the name,
we already can conclude that Local Routes are for localized
lesions at
accessible site and Systemic Routes intend to be absorbed
into the blood stream.
Wrong decision could lead to fatal, or maybe death. That’s
what we do, making decisions.
Making decisions and taking actions are two separate things
but the latter cannot happen
without the former. To make a decision, it required
experiences, especially when facing a tough decision, most people rely on
feelings rather than thought.
Will the patient died if we make a wrong decision, a wrong
diagnose, and a wrong treatment?
That’s why learning is very important. We handle life, not
tools nor calculations. If we do simple mistake on calculations, we can fix it
back. But mistakes in handling life are hardly to fix.
If something happens to the patient, blame yourself for not
prepare and
study well during the 5-6 years of degree in Medicine.
Life isn’t something you can play around. Every heart beat
is precious.
YET, I still can’t make decisions, not in a chaos and hectic
situation. *Pulling hairs*
I don’t even know whether to still waiting, or to move on,
or to walk forward without glimpsing to the past. I still don’t know which one
come first, the egg or the chicken. I still don’t know to buy Micheal Korr or
Charles and Keith’s handbag.
I just don’t know which one perfect, and suitable for the
time beings. I hate making decisions.
